Defensive Player of the Week

Mount Pleasant's defensive player of the week had to be Peter Smith by a small margin. In a game which saw the Oilers defense give up 400+ yards, Peter Smith had a knack for finding the ball. Smith found the ball carrier 15 times while 5 of those were solo tackles. Throughout the first three games the Oilers have played pretty solid defensive football, however this game saw too many big plays. Four of the Chemics touchdowns came from 40 plus yard plays. The Oilers travel to Lapeer for an out of conference game. If the Oilers hope to win this game they will need to control the line of scrimmage and play heads up football.
